I believe the largest improvement with the Devine Acoustics Galileo Isolation Device is the increased musicality. 95% of the isolation devices that I’ve tried in the past, which mostly consist of aerospace aluminum or steel with extraordinarily hardened balls sitting in a racer, have caused our demo system to sound “a-musical”. It might increase the tightness of the bass, but at the same time it thins out the midrange and the high frequencies. That to me is an “a-musical” sound. The Galileo’s give you more music, but also increase the resolution and detail so your hearing more but in a more refined way. The other feature that’s important is it gives you a large increase in soundstage depth and width. It truly advances the sound of a high-end system to another level.
In addition, with the ability to dial in the isolation device to a very precise level based on the weight of the component, you really can fine tune the sound to your liking. You can increase the height of the Galileo asmall as .1mm up to 1.5mm with a full 360° turn of the device. It allows a total of six full turns.
Also, It reduces distortion in the music to extremely low levels. For example, in the cover of “Another Day in Paradise” by 4 Wheel Drive, there was always a distortion in the vocals. After I inserted two sets of Galileo, one set of Newton Dimond, and a set of Kepler Evolution isolation devices, it was 90% eliminated. The background remains as black as I’ve ever heard it.
“The DIVINE ACOUSTICS GALILEO anti-vibration feet are simply excellent. Their mechanical design, the idea behind it, but also the workmanship are for me a model of what such a product should look like. They bring out depth, velvety profundity, plasticity, vividness, and energy – everything a recording has to offer.”
“They will, however, do something else: they will deepen the presentation in such a way that it will seem to us that we are hearing much more than before…”
“It’s simply resolution. And that’s what these feet are: a machine for unleashing it in music. That’s why, from us, they receive our most important award, the ˻ GOLD FINGERPRINT ˺ and the “High Fidelity Reference” logo.”
